Makinex La90-350 Jackhammer Lift Assist Tool

Makinex LA90-350 Lift Assist Ergonomic Lifting Solution for 90 lb Pneumatic Jackhammers

The Makinex Lift Assist (model LA90-350) is an ergonomically engineered attachment specifically designed to assist operators with the lifting of a 90 lb pneumatic jackhammer. By actuating the LA90-350 with every cut, operators gain significantly more control and ease of use throughout the demolition process. It shares the existing air supply with the jackhammer, requiring no separate power source, and is compatible with a wide range of 90 lb pneumatic jackhammer brands and models. The LA90-350 is manufactured in the USA and carries a 12-month warranty.

Unlike working an unassisted jackhammer which demands repeated heavy lifting, increases fatigue rapidly, and raises the risk of serious back injuries the Lift Assist mechanically offloads the weight of the tool between strikes. This allows operators to maintain proper angles across multiple cuts, sustain productivity over longer work periods, and return to position faster after each break in the ground.

Key Features & Benefits

Ergonomic Injury Reduction

Repeatedly lifting a 90 lb jackhammer is one of the leading causes of back strain in demolition work. The LA90-350 reduces the physical load on the operator with each lift cycle, directly lowering the risk of work-related back injuries and cumulative musculoskeletal damage over a shift.

Increased Productivity and Job Efficiency

By reducing fatigue, operators can sustain a higher work rate over longer periods without the performance drop-off that typically accompanies manual lifting. Getting the job done faster with fewer rest breaks translates directly to lower labor costs per project.

Quick and Easy Assembly

The LA90-350 assembles quickly onto any compatible 90 lb pneumatic jackhammer without specialized tooling or lengthy setup. This means minimal downtime on site and the ability to move the attachment between hammers as needed.

Shared Air Supply

The Lift Assist operates from the same air supply already connected to the jackhammer, eliminating the need for a separate compressor connection or additional hose runs. This keeps the setup simple and the work area cleaner.

Precise Bit Repositioning

After each cut, the operator can easily reposition the bit before breaking ground again. Maintaining the correct angle across a series of cuts improves the quality and efficiency of the work, especially on detailed or constrained demolition tasks.

Made in the USA 12-Month Warranty

Domestic manufacture supports consistent quality control, and the included 12-month warranty provides contractors with assurance of product reliability and after-sales support.

Common Applications

Concrete Demolition

The primary use case for the LA90-350 is breaking concrete slabs, floors, foundations, and flatwork where repeated jackhammer lifts over extended shifts are required. The lift assist dramatically reduces operator fatigue during these high-repetition tasks.

Asphalt Breaking

Road and pavement crews working with pneumatic jackhammers on asphalt removal benefit from the controlled lifting action, which helps maintain consistent strike angles across a repair or removal zone.

Trench and Excavation Work

When breaking ground for trenching or utility excavation, the ability to reposition the bit quickly and maintain angle control speeds up the process and reduces operator strain in tight or awkward positions.

Masonry and Foundation Breaking

Demolishing masonry walls, footings, or block structures with a 90 lb hammer is physically demanding work. The Lift Assist reduces the repeated loading on the operator's back that this type of work demands.

Commercial and Industrial Demolition

On larger commercial demolition projects where multiple operators are working extended shifts, the LA90-350 helps maintain consistent crew productivity and reduces the likelihood of lost time due to injury.

Renovation and Remodel Demolition

Interior slab removal or structural concrete breaking during renovation projects often involves confined spaces and repeated repositioning the Lift Assist gives operators improved control in these conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the LA90-350 require a separate air supply or compressor connection?
A: No. The Lift Assist shares the existing air supply already connected to the jackhammer, so no additional compressor hookup or hose is required.

Q: What jackhammer weight class does the LA90-350 fit?
A: The LA90-350 is designed specifically for 90 lb pneumatic jackhammers. It is not intended for lighter or heavier hammer classes.

Q: Does it work with vibration-resistant jackhammer heads?
A: No. The current LA90-350 design does not adapt to vibration-resistant heads. Verify your hammer model against the compatible tool list before ordering.

Q: Which model do I need for a Chicago Pneumatic or Ingersoll Rand jackhammer?
A: Chicago Pneumatic CP124 and CP1240 require the LA90-350CP model. Ingersoll Rand MX90 and PB85 require the LA90-350IR model. The standard LA90-350 is not designed for these hammers.

Q: How long does it take to assemble the Lift Assist onto a jackhammer?
A: The LA90-350 is designed for quick and easy assembly onto any compatible 90 lb pneumatic jackhammer without specialized tools, minimizing setup time on site.

Q: What is the warranty coverage on the LA90-350?
A: Makinex provides a 12-month warranty on the Lift Assist. Contact Makinex directly at 1-855-625-4639 or [email protected] for warranty service inquiries.
