Gar-Bro Bond Beam Bucket 13 Cy 2Cy

Gar-Bro 4810 Bond Beam Bucket Precision 1/3 CY Concrete Placement for Columns & Walls

The Gar-Bro 4810 is a 1/3 cubic yard Bond Beam Bucket engineered specifically for placing concrete into columns, bond beams, walls, and other restricted or formed pour locations where a standard round-gate bucket cannot deliver material accurately. Designed and manufactured in the USA to meet or exceed ASME standards, this bucket is built for crane-suspended use on commercial, industrial, and infrastructure construction sites. With a rated capacity of 1/3 CY, a level capacity of 10.1 cubic feet, and a loading height of 39 inches, the 4810 is the compact entry point in Gar-Bro's full Bond Beam Bucket lineup.

Unlike conventional round-gate concrete buckets, the Bond Beam Bucket's geometry and 8 x 8 inch gate are optimized for narrow, targeted discharge into formed cavities reducing spillage, overpour, and cleanup time on the job. At 313 pounds, the 4810 is the lightest model in the series, making it a practical choice when crane capacity or site access is limited without sacrificing the durability that Gar-Bro has delivered since 1923.

Key Features & Benefits

ASME-Compliant Construction

All Gar-Bro Bond Beam Buckets are designed to meet or exceed ASME standards for lifting equipment, giving contractors and site safety officers confidence that the bucket will perform reliably under rated load conditions. Compliance with ASME standards is increasingly required on commercial and public works job sites, reducing the risk of inspection delays or liability exposure.

8 x 8 Inch Precision Gate

The 8 x 8 inch gate on the 4810 delivers a controlled, directed discharge stream suited to narrow bond beams, block cores, columns, and wall forms. Controlled gate size minimizes blowout risk and allows the operator to pace the pour more precisely than larger-gate alternatives, which is critical when working with formed elements that cannot be overfilled.

Compact 1/3 CY Rated Capacity

At 1/3 cubic yard rated capacity (10.1 cubic feet level), the 4810 is sized for smaller pours and situations where lifting capacity is limited or incremental placement is required. This makes it well-suited for residential and light commercial masonry work, repair pours, and any application where a larger bucket would be impractical or wasteful.

Low Operating Weight 313 Pounds

The 4810's 313-pound weight is the lowest in the Bond Beam series, reducing the total crane load and allowing use with smaller cranes or boom trucks. For contractors working on projects where crane access is restricted or rented by the hour, a lighter bucket directly reduces cycle time and operating cost.

39-Inch Loading Height

A 39-inch loading height gives the ready-mix truck chute direct, unobstructed access for filling the bucket from ground level or from a mixer truck, without requiring elevated platforms or awkward positioning. This keeps loading fast and minimizes concrete waste during transfer.

Multiple Accessory Compatibility

The 4810 accepts a full range of Gar-Bro discharge accessories including Type A Steel Tapered Discharge, Type B Rubber Side Discharge, Type C Rubber Vertical Discharge, Type D Snozzle, and Type E Chute as well as optional forklift pockets. This versatility allows a single bucket to be configured for multiple job types without purchasing additional equipment.

Common Applications

Bond Beam & Masonry Wall Pours

The 4810's narrow gate and controlled discharge make it the standard choice for filling CMU bond beams and reinforced masonry walls where precise placement is required to avoid displacing rebar or blowing out forms.

Column Concrete Placement

Crane-suspended placement into column forms demands a bucket that delivers concrete at a controlled rate into a confined opening the 4810's gate geometry and capacity are well-matched to typical residential and light commercial column dimensions.

Tilt-Up and Cast-In-Place Wall Panels

For contractors placing concrete into narrow wall panel forms, the Bond Beam Bucket provides targeted delivery that reduces segregation and overspill compared to conventional buckets.

Repair and Patch Pours

The 1/3 CY capacity is practical for structural repair pours where only a small, precise volume of concrete is needed and waste must be minimized.

Core Filling in Masonry Block Construction

The 8 x 8 gate allows directed filling of CMU core cavities during masonry construction, reducing cleanup and improving placement accuracy compared to chute-only methods.

Crane and Forklift-Assisted Concrete Placement

With optional forklift pockets available, the 4810 can be positioned and moved by forklift where crane access is unavailable, adding flexibility to the placement workflow on constrained sites.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What discharge accessories are compatible with the 4810?
A: The 4810 accepts Type A Steel Tapered Discharge, Type B Rubber Side Discharge, Type C Rubber Vertical Discharge, Type D Snozzle, and Type E Chute. Specify the item number or gate size when ordering accessories.

Q: Can the 4810 be used with a forklift instead of a crane?
A: Yes. Optional forklift pockets are available for the 4810 and all Bond Beam Buckets in the series, allowing positioning and transport by forklift on sites where crane access is unavailable.

Q: Is the 4810 rated to ASME standards?
A: Yes. All Gar-Bro buckets and skip pans are designed to meet or exceed ASME standards, making them suitable for use on job sites that require ASME-compliant lifting equipment.

Q: What is the difference between the 4810 and the 4814?
A: The 4810 is rated at 1/3 CY (10.1 cu. ft. level capacity) with a 39-inch loading height and weighs 313 lbs. The 4814 steps up to 1/2 CY (14.1 cu. ft.), a 47-inch loading height, and weighs 360 lbs. Both share the same 8 x 8 inch gate size.

Q: Can Tremie attachments be used with the 4810 for underwater or deep placement?
A: Tremie attachments are available for the Bond Beam Bucket series. Refer to the Bond Beam Buckets Tremie Attachments PDF linked above for compatibility and specification details.

Q: Where are Gar-Bro Bond Beam Buckets manufactured?
A: All Gar-Bro equipment is American engineered and American made, produced at the company's facility in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Gar-Bro has been manufacturing concrete placement equipment since 1923.
