2-Point 34-Metric Ton Spreader Beam System 1SpreaderSection

The Caldwell Model DM34 Dura-Mod Modular Spreader Beam System is engineered for heavy-duty lifting applications that require flexibility, portability, and configurable beam spans. Its modular design allows users to assemble beam lengths from 3 to 32 feet using interchangeable spreader sections, end fittings, drop links, and bolt kits.

Designed to handle loads up to 34 metric tons, the DM34 system is ideal for manufacturing facilities, steel fabrication shops, construction projects, shipyards, and industrial maintenance. The knock-down design makes transportation and storage easier while allowing the beam to be configured for a wide range of lifting applications. Capacity is determined by beam span and sling angle using Caldwell's capacity charts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Caldwell Model DM34 used for?

The DM34 is a modular spreader beam system designed for lifting loads up to 34 metric tons in industrial, construction, and material handling applications.

What beam spans are available?

The DM34 can be configured with spans from 3 feet to 32 feet using interchangeable spreader sections.

Are slings and shackles included?

No. Slings and shackles are supplied separately and should be selected based on your lifting plan and application requirements.

Can the hardware be reused?

Yes. Bolts, nuts, and washers may be reused when anti-seize thread coating is applied during assembly.

How is the lifting capacity determined?

Capacity is determined by the beam span and the base-to-sling angle. Refer to the Caldwell Capacity vs. Span chart to select the correct configuration for your application.
