Spherex Clt Welding Helmet

The Optrel Sphere X CLT is a next-generation automatic welding helmet engineered for professional welders who demand exceptional optical clarity, panoramic visibility, and all-day comfort. Designed as the evolution of the popular Crystal 2.0 platform, the Sphere X CLT combines Optrels advanced Crystal Lens Technology (CLT), expanded viewing area, ShadeTronic automation, and ergonomic IsoFit X headgear into one premium welding helmet built for precision fabrication and industrial welding applications.

The Sphere X CLT is designed for welders working in TIG, MIG, Stick, Flux-Cored, Plasma Cutting, and precision fabrication environments where weld puddle visibility and eye comfort are critical. With over 30% larger field of view compared to previous Optrel designs, the helmet provides improved peripheral vision and greater awareness of the work area during welding operations.

Crystal Lens Technology (CLT) 2.0

One of the defining features of the Sphere X CLT is Optrels Crystal Lens Technology 2.0. This lens system is engineered to provide an extremely clear, true-color view both before and during welding.

Benefits include:

• Light shade level 2.0 for near-clear visibility
• High-definition weld puddle visibility
• True-color optics
• Reduced green tint distortion
• Better contrast during low-amperage TIG welding
• Reduced eye fatigue during long welding sessions

The CLT lens technology is especially popular among TIG welders and precision fabricators because it allows operators to see fine details more clearly during delicate welding applications.

Expanded Panoramic Viewing Area

The Sphere X CLT features a significantly larger viewing area compared to earlier Optrel helmet platforms. The panoramic lens system improves visibility of the weld zone while increasing peripheral awareness.

Advantages include:

• Over 30% larger field of view
• Improved workpiece visibility
• Better joint tracking
• Reduced head movement
• Greater positional awareness
• Improved precision in tight fabrication environments

The helmet shell is designed to bring the auto-darkening filter closer to the eyes, making the lens frame less noticeable during operation.

ShadeTronic Automatic Shade Adjustment

The Sphere X CLT uses Optrels ShadeTronic technology, which automatically adjusts the lens shade depending on arc intensity and changing welding conditions.

Key functions include:

• Fully automatic shade adjustment
• Manual override capability
• Adaptive shade response
• Improved consistency during changing amperage
• Reduced need for manual shade adjustments

The system supports:

• Shade range 512 automatic
• Manual mode range 412
• Ultra-fast switching response
• Multi-sensor arc detection

This automatic functionality helps reduce interruptions while improving operator comfort and productivity.

FadeTronic Eye Comfort Technology

FadeTronic technology gradually transitions the lens from dark to light state after welding instead of instantly opening. This helps reduce eye strain during repetitive welding tasks.

Benefits include:

• Reduced eye fatigue
• Smoother light transitions
• Improved comfort during repetitive welding
• Better adaptation to changing brightness

This feature is particularly valuable for welders performing high-frequency tack welding or long-duration fabrication work.

IsoFit X Headgear System

The Sphere X CLT includes the upgraded IsoFit X headgear system engineered for comfort, stability, and balanced weight distribution.

Features include:

• Multiple adjustment points
• Improved helmet balance
• Reduced neck fatigue
• Secure fit during overhead welding
• Enhanced long-term comfort
• Lightweight ergonomic design

Helmet Weight

• Approximate weight: 640 g / 22.5 oz

The lightweight shell and ergonomic headgear help improve comfort during long fabrication shifts and industrial welding applications.
